Internet Safety Presentation for Parents
Ridgewood Public Schools and the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office will be sponsoring an important presentation for parents and guardians regarding Internet safety for children. This presentation, which is free and open to adults only, will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in the Benjamin Franklin Middle School Auditorium in Ridgewood.

GRHS Students Organize to Help Haiti
 |
The outpouring of donations and generosity from the teachers and students was overwhelming. It really was wonderful to watch everyone (including the parents) that were here this morning sorting out clothing, health supplies, bedding, toys, etc. There was a real sense of “community”. This afternoon Hertz donated at least four cargo vans to help take over 200 boxes of supplies to Queens where everything will be shipped to Haiti. Teachers and custodians have volunteered to drive the vans. Click the image to view a slideshow of the activities.

A diverse group of high achieving high school students offers tutoring to High School and Middle School students one night a week in the Media Center. The Community Relations Committee of the Glen Rock Board of Education has begun a new communications plan to reach out to all community members. The goal of the program is to share timely, relevant information with anyone interested in staying informed about news and views from the board.
